Your assessment of the drone pilot is, I think, a bit unfair. Many RPA pilots are suffering from ptsd. They often follow the enemy for months at a time. Killing, no matter how far away, is traumatic (although I have never killed anyone and can only speculate).... Perhaps it just comes down to who the individual is and not so much the distance... No doubt, however, it is imperative that we must maintain and follow a code of ethics in fighting. I agree that this code ought to be embraced in the heart of every soldier, airman, sailor and marine.
